01  Preparation                   Day 1
    City permits and inspections handled by us if needed. Most showers do not
    require them.
    Home flooring protected with Ram Board throughout the workspace.

02  Demolition                    Day 2
    Old shower walls, floor, and sheetrock removed and disposed of.
    Clean, organized demolition.

03  Framing adjustments           Day 3
    Existing framing modified and reinforced.
    Old curb removed and floor lowered for a curbless design.
    Solid wood blocking added between the studs at grab bar heights, so bars
    anchor into structure rather than board. Last chance without reopening
    the wall, and worth adding even if the bars come later.
    Exhaust fan, lighting, or switch changes are wired while the walls are
    open; the customer should raise them before demolition.

04  Plumbing upgrades             Day 4
    Drain and shower valve adjusted for correct height, depth, and alignment.
    On a tub-to-shower conversion the valve moves up from tub height and the old
    tub plumbing comes out.
    Required shower pan inspection performed.

05  Wall insulation               Day 5
    Shower walls insulated for moisture control and comfort, if needed.
    Conditional: not every shower needs it. Skipping it saves a project day.

06  Waterproof system             Day 6
    Waterproof board installed on every wall and the base. Depending on the
    project we use Hydro Block or Schluter KERDI-BOARD.
    All seams and connections sealed.

07  Base template                 Day 7
    Shower base templated on site, after the waterproofing is complete.
    The base is cut to the template, not to a drawing.

08  Stone fabrication and install Days 8 to 13
    Order matters: the base is fabricated and installed first. With the base
    set, the walls are templated, then fabricated, then installed.
    The base is either tile or solid stone. A solid stone base adds 2 to 3 days
    for fabrication and installation.
    Exposed panel edges are capped with Schluter edge trim, matched to the
    hardware finish, so every visible edge ends in a clean metal profile
    instead of a raw cut.

09  Shower glass door system      Day 14
    Frameless glass panels templated, fabricated, and installed.
    Hardware finish chosen by the customer: brushed nickel, chrome, gold, or
    matte black.

10  Final finishing touches       Day 15
    Sheetrock patching and wall repair.
    Paint touch-ups and blending.
    Caulking as needed.
    Full job-site cleaning.

- The base is installed before the walls are templated.
- Templating happens after waterproofing, on site.
- Grab bar blocking is a stage 3 decision, not a stage 9 decision.
- Insulation is conditional and shifts the day numbers when skipped.
